11 May 2017
Jacob Stewart is a young entrepreneur in Boston who has experienced great success since attending Suffolk University
Boston, MA: Jacob Stewart, a co-founder of Boston-based accounting firm GMAC Accounting LLC, was honored as a member of Suffolk University’s 2016-2017 class of 10 Under 10. An annual accolade, Suffolk’s 10 Under 10 recognizes a short list of alumni who have achieved great success in a short amount of time – specifically less than 10 years since graduating.
Stewart graduated from Suffolk University with a B.S.B.A. in 2010, and a joint M.S.T./M.S.A. in 2012. Stewart worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission while still a student at Suffolk University, and continued his time there as a Securities Compliance Examiner upon graduation.
Most recently, Stewart helped found GMAC Accounting LLC out of Boston, MA – an accounting startup that utilizes the top cloud-based software available in the market to provide high-quality accounting services to mid-sized businesses and startups throughout the country.
Of Stewart’s recent award, GMAC Accounting co-founder Anthony Jianaces said, “Jacob has been vital to our early success at GMAC. His vision, coupled with his industry insight and knowledge, has truly been our catalyst for growth. Our clients understand the extraordinary value that a professional of Jacob’s caliber can bring to their organization.”
This year’s 10 Under 10 even was held on campus at 120 Tremont Street on May 11, 2017. The event is hosted by the Suffolk University and Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Council.
